It's really very simple Walter. Not all deaths are reported. So IBC is inevitably incomplete, and therefore not Definitive. But it is a definitive tally of the deaths that have been reported, unless you can show that it isn't. All the rest is irrelevant bluster. As for your "impression" about Middle Eastern sources, try finding some that report deaths that the news agencies don't pick up. My thoughts are very straightforward: unless someone shows me otherwise, I'm confident that most reported deaths are captured by the IBC database. It ought to go without saying that the tally they compile is much lower than the real death toll. Yet they said so themselves on their website. QED.
