Hi Raoul.
I’m not privy to history of this discussion, but I do think Gunnar has made it clear (here) that his point is NOT 1) that there are oodles of available media reports neglected by IBC - but rather, 2) that the small number of sources that 90% of their reports are based on means that less credibility should be given to IBC estimates as a total body count than is currently the case.
So its not a question of what other reports IBC should be citing, but the interpretation of the data (by themselves and everyone else in the media) failing to take due account of the limited sources used - whether other sources are available or not.
