London is awash with cash, a tiny fraction of people are drowning in the stuff. I'm contracting out at the moment and spending most of my time in Hampstead. Today i was in a house on a private street off Hampstead lane that has just been sold for £28million. Another on-going job is in a house in Hampstead proper which resembles a castle - a £22million refurb. There is so much going on on some of these streets at the moment that its not unusual to have a third of the properties on the same road under-going complete strip down and re-build. The mega rich have been creaming it in, they couldn't possibly of had it so good before, if this type of thing was normal nobody would chuck so much money at a house on a street that is permanent building site.
