Thanks for that, Felix. Dan Hind when he was an editor in the book business commissioned my (& Ian Henshall's) book that he entitled 9/11 Revealed, so I think he DOES know that it was an inside job, but is adopting a socially acceptable posture for the Grauniad.
Obviously our resident troll, GK33thug, will endorse Brooker/Phillips, as if that kind of endorsement were really needed on a tiny site like this where I am glad to say we deal principally in scepticism, which has a very long history in the modern state, going back to the original establishment of philanthropy, utilitarianism and the police state in the 1820s under Lord Liverpool.
In fact, you might say that the Victorian dispensation was a licence to sceptics, because of the widespread use of philanthropy to institute, for example, penitentiaries equipped with treadmills. These were nothing short of institutions of torture, endorsed and blessed by the owning establishment. In other words, the most grotesque hypocrisy was involved. Philanthropy imposing torture: the world turned upside down.
Exactly the same forces were at work in the philanthropical validation of the Iraq invasion, while Abu Ghraib became the on-the-ground reality, showing that nothing mucnbh has changed since the onset of Victorianism.
Like Dan, I do not claim to know what happned on 9/11, or in the subsequent anthrax attacks (also unsolved), but I do know that the 9/11 Commission report was a whitewash and I, for one, want a new inquiry.
