: Hi
:
: Z1300 CARBS are great fun. Although i
: have every confidence in Oz at Zed parts i
: needed to have my carbs cleaned in an
: proper ultrasonic for about 50 hours in
: total to get them right. As far as idle is
: concerned use a colortune plug to check 100%
: if your burn is correct at idle. Its the
: only way. Best 40 quid i ever spent. Ignore
: the manual regarding mixture screw settings.
: 1.5 turns=bollox. Start a 3 and work from
: there. Assuming you have checked the
: diaphragms and there sound try just
: loosening off the carb tops, let the
: diaphragms settle, and nip them down. I had
: the same problem and this sorted that.
: Also worth setting you valve clearances on
: the loose side of the tolerances rather than
: the tighest. Regarding starting issues,
: assuming youve checked the fuel solenoid
: over the nearest hedge and you float heights
: are correct is is worth swapping the coils
: for honda aw82 (cb900/cb750) type not
: forgetting to remove the ballast resistor
: which will allow you to fit new leads and
: caps. Best of luck... Is will be worth it
: when you get there...
