Well..
Yet again...i will have to say it one more time...
The safest most econical bulletproofest AND cheapest way is just to:
Just engage someone you know who can weld in aluminuim...
Make them weld another few millimeters on the back of the stock tensioner
....(millimeters,probably the same as youŽr feet, fingers or toes or whatever you have on youŽr scales...*smile*...)
Drill a hole there..(in the back that is)...
Tap it an install a bolt with locknut...Preferably M6...
Install it with eberything else as stock and you have a BULLETPROOF tensioner!!
Have told/said it here for some years now with almost no response...but you still will have the stock function of the tensioner with the malfunction that the bolt make sure that it CANT back!!
I have used it for soon 20 years now on many bikes with 100% function...with just ONE 2 minutes job i every spring...
Start up...check it and then go...
If anyone missed again although i explained it several times just email...iŽll explain...
This IS the best most troublefree way you can go on...AND that it is the cheapest way is just a plus...
(Can just mention that i have reasantly bought a Voyager with farly small miles on it from the US...fitted with a ZZR tensioner...The idler whel is COMPLETELY worn out!!)
In other words, the spring in the ZZR tnesioner is way to strong!
