hi pete,you should enjoy the vmax,i had some great fun on mine,when i bought mine it was running a little rough until you got up to speed it was a broken slide,i found them quite easy to work on and set up,you had to keep on top of them though,the carbs needed balancing regular which was a doddle to do,airbox off and there they are as the fuel tank is under the seat as you know.fuel tank range not to good about 80 to 100.the one thing i would advice you to do though is buy the famous engine saver bracket and O ring which come as a set,its a replacement O ring on the oil pick up tube the factory one is crap,when i took mine appart my O ring was comeing out so the advice i was given was good,if i had enough money i would have another to put at the side of my z1300 in the garage,anyway mate i hope you enjoy it and please keep in touch with us all as your help and advice is priceless.
