I rode my mates full power Max at the weekend and the power delivery is very different. On my 13 you twist the throtttle in top at any speed and the 13 pulls and pulls the Max you have to find the power by going down the box. I found it a pain in the ass after years of having so much low down grunt. Having said that the Max is as quick as my 13 if not more so. (mines a 1440)
When we ride I often leave him and can now explian this by the catching himing out with my instant power on hand. My mate has always joked he never has to try to stay with me and could leave me whenever he wanted. Having rode it I now doubt it.
The handling was very different as well, not saying it was bad or anything but very different from our bikes.
The main disappointment to me about Max's is they all tend to look the same when modified. So many parts are available out of catalogues that people seem to have lost imagination with them.
I should add I love Max's and if I didn't already have the best bike ever made I might have gone for a Max myself.
