Yeah I thought someone may have already done it. I envy your temps over there right now. I can take the heat to a certain degree but gotta take care of the bike as well. Oh well I was out riding at 7am this morning before it hit 90degrees out so it was'nt to bad. Have to dig around and start looking at some different coolers. Thanks

: Z1300 engines are known to run hot in hotter
: climates, it's not an issue in the UK.
: You could fit an oil cooler, that would
: definitely help as the oil acts a coolant as
: well as a lubricant. Or you could get a
: larger water rad made, as Alan Millyard did
: when he joined two Z1300 rads together on
: his V12?

: Phil
: Daan saaf, innit.

: Wondering if anyone has done an oil cooler
: mod
: on their 13? I can't ride my bike much
: around here in az. except in the morning and
: even then it was 85d at 7:30. It's 2pm here
: now and 108 degrees, yuck. My bike just gets
: to hot when the temps are like this. I
: thought an oil cooler would help keep temps
: down a little. Man I hate this place
:

: I am surprised the 1300 might need an oil
: cooler. Surely when Kawasaki were developing
: the bike, they will have tested it in
: extreme conditions, and presumably found
: that oil temperatures were not a problem.
: Also, modern synthetic oils can withstand
: very high operating temperatures without
: breaking down. Maybe you could fit a
: temperature probe to see just how hot your
: oil is getting.
: I think your bike looks great, I admire its
: originality.
: PS. The temperature here in Knaresborough,
: England is 64F at mid day. Just right!!
