Uh huh. Seems I got the wrong impression then from reading about people scouring Australia and the States for valves. Info for the future, or maybe even for any other rarities that members may have lurking in the dark corners of the workshop.

: Rich,
:
: ZED-PARTS.COM sell exhaust valves for £37
: each.
:
: I believe inlet valves are still available
: rom Kawasaki at £25 each.
:
: Profiled valves are much better though, so
: are worth more.

: Have spent some time today visiting a
: company
: called The Cylinder Head Shop
: (http://www.cylinderheadshop.co.uk/) down in
: darkest Surry, to get some work done on my
: old Bonnie.
:
: While there I made some enquiries as I have
: read that valves for our big Zeddies are
: getting hard to come by. They are able to
: produce vales from blank forgings for
: vitually anything. I enquired about some
: rough prices and got the answer as follows:
:
: A 1 off set of 6 would work out at about £58
: each valve (gulp), but larger batches would
: produce some savings. 5 bike sets would be
: about £28 per valve, 15-20 sets would be
: about £14 per valve.
:
: These prices are for good quality profiled
: valves (allegedly) better than the
: originals.
:
: I dont' need any myself at this time (famous
: last words) but thought that I'd put the
: info out to the general populace in case
: it's of use.
