Have spent some time today visiting a company called The Cylinder Head Shop (http://www.cylinderheadshop.co.uk/) down in darkest Surry, to get some work done on my old Bonnie.
While there I made some enquiries as I have read that valves for our big Zeddies are getting hard to come by. They are able to produce vales from blank forgings for vitually anything. I enquired about some rough prices and got the answer as follows:
A 1 off set of 6 would work out at about £58 each valve (gulp), but larger batches would produce some savings. 5 bike sets would be about £28 per valve, 15-20 sets would be about £14 per valve.
These prices are for good quality profiled valves (allegedly) better than the originals.
I dont' need any myself at this time (famous last words) but thought that I'd put the info out to the general populace in case it's of use.
