People keep asking me this same question... Why should I play in the Rush and not play in Cleveland? My answer is cost, reward and product. First cost, If you travle by plain to cleveland it will cost you $150 - $250 for plane tickets. The drive isn't bad though. 6 1/2 hrs. Gas $ (800 miles round trip) Hotel stay will cost you $35-$50 per night (3 nights) unless you want to travel and play the same day. Which, could lead to a huge upset( big ups evens and odds!!). Food will cost you $30-$75 a day. Entry Fee to the tournament I think is $450. Reward- 4th place.... 3rd place trophy.... 2nd place trophy.... 1st place trophy and a bid ($410) to the orlando tournament and Bragging rights. Product- Dont know how the refs are. Heard the fields are spread out. competition is good. MDBEvents.com The August Rush. If you haven't heard about the tournament thrown (Air-It-Out) by now please feel free to ask around or if you would like to comment please do. Cost- $450 per team. 20 min north of D.C. Reward with 30 teams Bounty $3,500.00 4th place-August Rush T-shirt, 3rd place $500 (worth a bid to orlando and change) T-shirt, 2nd place $1000 T-shirts, 1st place $2,000 and championship T-shirts. With 25 teams the bounty will be $2,900. With 35 teams the bounty will be $5,000.00. Product-Top of the line refs. Very clean fields. Better than the Air-It-Out fields. Top compition from the east coast and the south. MDBevent tourney will only get bigger and better. There was great support in The Air-It-Out and the tournament was a success. I leave it up to you to do the math. Money talks when times are good or bad.
