First off, congratulations to Brothers AC for taking the GDL PRO CHIP yesterday. That last second catch in the zone was amazing!! Secondly, big ups to Pete and his crew Eastland AC for winning GDL OPEN division. And lastly, to all the ladies' teams, you are truly competitive. Congratulations to BB and his crew Lady Playmakers for winning the GDL CHIP and big ups to Ladies All-Met...very, very good game. {George, I am going to say this, DOUBLE ELIMINATION format should be followed-thru with the ladies just like the gents.} BIG UPS TO ALL THE TEAMS THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE GDL.
God blessed us with a great weekend for football. Great location. Great food. Music was chimming in [other than the later part of Sunday when Gator was having his 'love jones' moment]. And most importantly all the curteous and kind folks in attendance...thanks for all the love!!
I have to say, whoever those little guys that were playing football behind the goal post where the Pro Division was playing, ARE DEFINITELY OUR FUTURE BALLERS OF TOMORROW. THEY CAME IN ALL SIZES AND NONE OF THE SHORTIES WERE INTIMIDATED BY THAT. THEY CAUGHT THE BALL AND TACKLED JUST LIKE THE BIGGER GUYS. I MEAN, ONE LITTLE GUY WAS HITTING HARD LIKE A RAM TO GET THAT TACKLE. AND ANOTHER LITTLE GUY WAS FUSSING AT THE QB FOR NOT THROWING TO HIM AND WHEN HE FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO CATCH THE BALL, HE WAS RIGHT ON QUE [TWO-HAND GRIP AND ALL]. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! I LOVED IT...PARENTS, TIPPING MY HAT OFF TO YOU. PLEASE, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK WITH OUR FUTURE GENERATION.
And lastly, to let the truth be told, and YES, I AM GOING TO SAY IT...LONG BEACH WOULD HAVE HAD A VERY TOUGH TIME DOWN AT THE GDL FOR SHO!!
BIG UPS TO ALL-MET FOR SPANKING THAT WEST COAST LONG BEACH AZZ. LONG BEACH QUIETER THAN A 'MOFO' NOW.
George Coleman, BW, MO, little MO and her crew getting those GDL shirts out there [nice touch]. AS ALWAYS GEORGE, JOB WELL DONE. Kinda of thought I was in Mile Hi Country like it is done at Mike Watson's tourney in Denver with all the festivities going on. Oops...did I say that Denver guy's name?
