First off, I'd like to say MANY THANKS to ALL the players, coaches, families, friends and supporters of flag football! It's beacause of all the wonderful people involved in this game that we've made it thus far.
Now, onto personal business, MANY THANKS to the VA Beach folks who worked tirelessly to help secure field locations and to facilitate with running the GDL Tourney this weekend! MUCH PROPS to Curtis and Jeff for ALL your efforts!
And, of course, MANY THANKS goes out to GEORGE COLEMAN, Moe, Pick and the DC ELY crew, the NC teams for coming up to play, the VB teams who stepped up to play a different game, Gator and his MIGHTL MEALS (I'm going to need a little on the copyright, Boss...LOL!), Philly G, Lil Scott "Tay" from the Hill, the DC ELY and DC Metro Officials, and ALL in attendance for GDL 2009.
CONGRATS to Brothers AC (that's my team) for winning "Da Loot" in the PRO Division, Eastland AC for winning the OPEN Division, and the DC Jets and We R One for making the respective championships!
On another note, congrats to All-Met for winning their 3rd Tournament Championship in 2009. And alo, to LBC for making the cross-country TREK to compete with East Coast foes this weekend. Congrats to the u for hosting a great event.
Regardless of which tournament your team decided to participate in, it was really NICE to finally meet folks and match faces with message board posts and to try to BUILD NEW POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS with folks all over the country!
Congrats to the winners this weekend, but, in all honesty, WE ALL LOST OUT BECAUSE NOT ALL THE TEAMS IN VA BEACH THIS WEEKEND WERE IN ONE EVENT! I don't claim to have all the answers, but ya'll know I've got suggestions....LOL!
