Not a cloud in sight yesterday. It was hotter than a 'MUDDER' here yesterday and I am not expecting anything less today. Every event was an event to remember. Today, it is on and popping at 8 a.m. until it is over. As always, another great tourney put down by the DC crew. Gator with the best damn turkey burgers [Gator you have to share that recipe] and his music pumping [reminded me of how Mike Watson throws his tourneys' in Mile High Country].
But Ben, oh, my goodness. My first time watching the women from DC ball and these ladies can play. They are the bomb!! I have to give ALL the women their props. Way to ball!!
I do not know about it being yours to 'lose'. It is like I was saying in a conversation last night, these guys be balling and it is an 'any given Sunday' event. Anyone can take home the grand prize. Tell you guys, they got to expand their horizons and play these teams over a period of time during the year and when it comes to the Nationals, they can been a little more prepared to know what is going on with guys who play this game '365 days a year, 24/7'. Ben, Jamal lives down here now and he was excited about the tournament. Said Momma, I want to go to the games, this 'ish' is fun. LOL...I said 'really?'
