First, I would like to compliment the crew at Pagoda for puttng on another wonderful event this past weekend. I do however have a personal issue that is disturbing to me.
As my son Kenny #220 came out of the gate in 2nd moto jr. mini, he wheelied, brought it back down and came in contact with another rider next to him causing my son to fall off his bike. As he laid on the ground, a rider behind him ran over his head! As horrified as I was to witness this, I was very touched by the MANY other riders and spectators some of whom we have never met that came by to check on Kenny afterwards.
Thankfully, after being carted off in the 4-wheeler, Kenny was only bruised, banged up and a little shaken up. He went out and rode his second moto in 85 9-11. It probably would have meant more to boost his confidence if the rider that ran over his head stopped by.
I could not be more proud of my son for getting back on the bike and finishing the day out. Unfortunatly, I don't see how the parent of the child who ran him over could be as proud of his.
Leigh Abey,
Proud Dad of Kenny #220
