Seems to me that if there is a problem to be fixed, it should be fixed with the AMA. If we are going to follow their rules, then they need to step up and enforce them.
When I sign up at a race, I scan my AMA card and all my info is there on the computer screen. So why does it list 30 different classes to choose from. A simple computer program would fix it so it would only show the classes I am eligible for. This would speed up sign up and keep people in their correct classes.
Since all the personal information is on file with the AMA, then why don't they just issue the district cards pertaining to the area each person resides in.
This would eliminate any confusion with the districts and if anyone chooses to race a certain series, they still have the option to purchase that card if they choose to.
I am sure a lot of people will not agree with this, but the AMA should take control of this. If you don't want the AMA to have control, then why bother to follow their rules.
