I disagree with the comments above and indeed with most of the comments posted about this film. I noticed that in the majority of the cases the negative comments have been placed by those who walked out and did not see the film through to the end
I know that it was a difficult film to watch but I found it so totally engrossing that I was unaware that people had left.
It was a harsh, challenging subject matter, but it did portray the kind of life that does exist outside of Cranbrook and we only need to think about the recent knife crimes to realise that.
Personally I found it a beautifully shot film and can only say that for a film to be fascinating it does not have to be pretty. It is often the most difficult films that make us think the most and last the longest in the minds. Hence this message nearly a year after the film was shown!
Thank you Cranbrook Film Society for having the courage to put on such a film and please keep on choosing films that make us reflect.
