I'm sorry that you felt that London to Brighton was inapproprite for showing at the Film Society. As a committee we felt it was an extremely strong British film in the gritty, harsh world of the low underworld - in the style of Get Carter and Mona Lisa. Peter Bradshaw, the very well respected film critic of the Guardian described London to Brighton as the British Film of the Year. The world it portrays is harrowing and unpleasant- it sits at great odds with life in Cranbrook!
The point about a more detailed warning in the programme is well made and we will take note for the future.
Thank you for continuing to suppport the Film Society.
Tim
