What did YOU think of Tokyo Story. It was interesting that there were quite a few members who rated this film as average to terrible.
Did the slow pace/static camera shots/ black and white make it a more difficult film to watch? Are we now conditioned to a different "visual grammar"? Or does this kind of intimate portrait of normality seem pedestrian? Are the film critics right to describe this as one of the best (or THE BEST)film ever made?
I'd be really interested to know your thoughts.
