Dear Cranbrook Residents
Have your say on the future of your local ambulance service
What do you think of your ambulance service? Now is your chance to tell us your views, and to help design the ambulance service of the future. Your service, your call.
South East Coast Ambulance Service is being transformed. We have already changed from a service that transported patients to treatment, to a service that brings specialised treatment to the patient.
Now that transformation continues with our application to become a foundation trust. We are confident that becoming a foundation trust will help us achieve our aim of providing world-class care for patients, who deserve nothing less. As a foundation trust, we will have the freedom to make the improvements that our patients need and deserve at a much quicker rate, meaning a higher level of care for everyone.
What you think of our plans is very important to us, and we are currently in the middle of a 12-week consultation that includes public meetings across our region of Sussex, Surrey and Kent. The meeting in Cranbrook is on:
Wednesday 23 September, 10.00am - 12.00pm, Vestry Hall, Stone Street, Cranbrook, Kent, TN17 3HF.
Please come along to the meeting, and feel free to invite any of your colleagues, friends or family members, who might want to attend. At the meetings you can:
- Learn some basic resuscitation skills that could help you to save someone’s life
- Find out more about our plans for the future and have your say
- Vote on our proposals at the touch of a button
- Meet Board members and public representatives
- Ask the questions you’ve always wanted answered about your ambulance service.
If you can’t get along to one of these meetings, details of all our meetings can be seen on our website www.ysyc.secamb.nhs.uk You are welcome to attend any of them, and please let us know if you have any particular requirements. Light refreshments will be available.
We would be grateful if you could register your planned attendance at a meeting by contacting Liz Smith via email, elizabeth.smith@secamb.nhs.uk or phone, 07786 573219.
We believe that, with your help and involvement, we can develop your local ambulance service into the best in the world. These are exciting times for us and we want you to be part of this journey. Please come along to meet us and have your say.
Yours faithfully,
Louise Hutchinson
