I was born (literally) in one of the cottages at the top of Whitewell Lane opposite the cricket ground on 11th April 1937 (the one with the well in the garden).
I looked at this site in the hope of finding a few pictures of Cranbrook I could download to take to an interview with the Bradford Telegraph and Argus who are going to print part of a piece I wrote for the Journal of the Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men about the way Yorkshire people have hijacked the hymn tune Cranbrook and recycled it into their own national anthem Ilkley Moor b'aht 'at.
