My Standens originally came from Biddenden kent (thomas b1740) but Catherine(kitty) standen ,his daughter, moved to brenchley and had a child (illigitimate) called john(1798) .At this stage she changed her name to standing. John then had a son frances(1823) and he a son george(1862) (all born in brenchley) George was my great grandad. I don't know if this helps Ann
