Hi I was in the same class at primary school as Geoff Day and I too have many memories of Cranbrook and its characters, It seems to me that there were so many more of them when we were kids. Maybe because the town was much more 'closed' with fewer in comers. I suppose we all remember the Dann family fondly, i was especially fond of Mariah. My mother was Parish clerk and chairman of the Parish council and she was SO fond of Sam. I wonder how many will remember a tramp called Bumble? or Mrs Bottle in the sweetshop? This could go on for ever but I hope others will join in, It would be interesting to know how many ex schoolfriends actually still live in the area,
