Hi Elaine
My wife's family name is Cox they all come from Frittenden Kent Her g/g grandfather John Cox married Louisa Dann born 1822 from Cranbrook Louisa's father's name was William Dann born 1780 and her mother's name was Elizabeth Dann born 1890 also there was a sister named Emily.
In the 1851 census for Cranbrook they were living at the Towers Sissinghurst Castle
I do not know if they are related to your Dann's
