I have only just come across this website. Like yourself I was born and bred in Cranbrook. Sam Dan, I remember him well, where did he find that endless supply of leaves? Many more happy memories of those days, one that I will always remember is stopping off at the forge in the winter months before going to school to keep warm and watch the horses being shod.
