Here's an easier way:
In one pan, put half a can of tomato sauce, 1 tbs of sofrito (you can make ur own or buy GOYA sofrito) Adobo, and one can of Goya small red beans (Habichuelas). --For extra I also slice up some GOYA vienna sausages as well, one can. Cook for about 25 mins or so.
Seperately pour two cups of rice, and 2.5 cups of water, a teaspoon of oil and a little bit of salt. (Make sure to use a NON STICK pan, I learned the hard way and ruined a regular one) Stir the rice, salt, oil & water, turn the stove on medium high. (Or #9 if it's a number dial) Allow this rice to boil WITHOUT mixxing until the rice has dried up. Once it has dried up, mix it by flipping it around in the pan, put on medium low, (2 or 3 if dial) cover, and let it cook for about 15 mins. Check on it here & there, flip it here & there as well.
This makes enough for 2 ppl. Just double everything if you want to make for 4 ppl etc. Let me know how you did.
Believe it or not, white rice is a pain 2 make...and takes PRACTICE so dont get discouraged if its not perfect the first time.
