CITY OF MCGRATH PART TIME JANITOR
Job Title: Janitorial Services
Employer: City of McGrath
Supervisor: City Administrator
Status: Permanent, part-time. Non-exempt. Schedule: Monday – Friday, flexible after business hours, not to exceed 20 hours per week.
Starting: April 21, 2008 Job
Summary: General janitorial duties within the Cap’n Snow Center, including the entry, stairs and hallways, Washeteria, Shower Room and Restrooms, Public Safety suite downstairs and the Assembly room, City offices, bathrooms and leased offices upstairs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Daily cleaning within the Cap’n Snow Center, with additional weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tasks.
§ Downstairs: Three times a week cleaning of the Washeteria, hallways Shower Room, Public Safety suite and restrooms following a checklist provided by the city. (M – W - F)
§ Upstairs: Twice weekly cleaning of the Assembly Room, hallway, restrooms, stairs and offices upstairs following a checklist provided by the city (T & TH)
§ Tracking inventory and placing orders for cleaning supplies with the City Clerk-Treasurer as needed.
§ Notify appropriate city employees of any vandalism, damage, unlocked doors or issues needing attention.
§ Scope of work and checklist for each area provided Qualifications: Employee will be experienced in standard cleaning practices, dependable, able to work independently and be willing to follow the checklists provided for each section of the building.
Wages: Starting wage $12.00/hr. Employee evaluation following 3-month probation period. Merit increases will be considered on an annual basis following the annual employee evaluation.
