Job Opening: Hotel McGrath B&B
Job Title: Housekeeper
Permanent/Part-time: 10:00a-1:00p; 5:00p-7:00p (varies)
Job Description: Assists with housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and replenishing supplies in rooms when assigned, laundry/folding linens, making beds, washing dishes, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, making specialty coffee drinks when needed, follow cleaning/evening check list, other duties as assigned. Candidate will pay close attention to inventory and will prepare inventory list when needed. Candidate must be flexible and willing to take initiative in identifying and performing work that needs to be done.
Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to meet the prescribed cleaning standards (follow checklists).
• Self motivated
• Self-starter
• Demonstrates teamwork and customer service focus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to learn
• Must be flexible
• Must have attention to detail
• Must be on time
• Perform tasks requiring continuous walking, standing, stooping, moving objects, and climbing stairs
• Previous housekeeping experience helpful.
• State of Alaska Work Permit required for the ages of 14-17. (Available at Hotel McGrath B&B)
