P O S I T I O N O P E N I N G
POSITION: CLASSROOM INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE
LOCATION: McGrath School
QUALIFICATIONS 1. Must have the ability to work with students, staff and public.
AIDE: 2. Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
3. High School Graduate or GED with at least 48 semester college credits is required or passing the alternative HELP test to meet highly qualified standards.
4. Knowledge of region and cultures required.
5. Use of technology/hands-on experience is a must.
6. Must be willing to work to the end of the school year.
DUTIES AIDE:
1. Be able to direct small groups or individual students with supplemental reading/math instruction independently or with teacher direction.
2. Communicate with classroom teacher on a regular basis in recognizing when help is needed, anticipating problems and prescribing solutions.
3. To implement teacher plans, but be able to expand when necessary.
SALARY: Salary range is $15.00 to $26.00/hour DOE. Salary will be based on individual qualifications on the district’s Classified salary schedule.
DURATION: This is a Permanent Part-Time Seasonal position for 3 hours per day.
REPORTS TO: Principal/Teacher
CLOSING DATE: November 19, 2007 or until filled.
