McGrath could be known as a Training Center for Opportunities not necessarily found elsewhere to attract people from outside McGrath:
• Interior Alaska Medicinal Plant Identification & uses – offer a package deal that is advertised in AK and the US with R/T ANC>MCG air transportation-room-board included with the experiential class late summer (? Donna Mac and local Elders),
• Wildfire Training (DNR established, could become a year-round training center),
• Native Knowledge – hands-on (outdoor survival, dogsled building, beading and skin sewing, subsistence living, including innovative ways that Athabascans traditionally live off the land, food gathering and storage, orienteering, river travel, winter travel, building snowshoes, establishing a trapline and tanning hides/furs, etc.),
• Radio DJ (i.e KSKO could offer full studio production training and experience),
• How to run a Bush B&B (i.e. Hotel McGrath could offer training to accommodate the unique rural AK aspects of a B&B),
• Upper Kuskokwim Athabascan Language Experience-Workshop (intro/experience and associate words with Athabascan lifestyle and everyday environment),
• Scenic & Wildlife Photography training & experience i.e. Rich Montagna (travel/trip experience and photographic training).
