The main thing that you need to do is burn the Linux ISO file to a dvd or usb stick, you can't just copy the Linux ISO file to the dvd or usb stick, it must be burned, otherwise it won't install on the pc on startup. Actually the first thing to do is look and see if the pc has a dvd player, some don't and if your's doesn't then you need to burn the IOS to a usb stick.
