Well, we had another FANTASTIC day today! This UKC show is definitely a 'fun' one! I won't spoil the fun for the owners of the dogs, but some puppies did quite well today both in the ring and with weight pull.

Here's Mr. Twister trying his hand at WP -- he seemed about as interested as Raidon was last year!
Now for Slinky! She's really taking to this weight pull! Did a great job today!
And now Ms Yuko doing her thing.
Both Slinky and Yuko have done really well the past two days in WP -- Friday, Yuko got her last leg for her WP title and placed 3rd in her weight class. Slinky got her first leg towards her WP title and placed 4th in her weight class. Yuko had to pull 460 lb to qualify -- her last pull yesterday was 555 lb (I pulled her after that) -- you have 1 minute to pull 16 ft -- she pulled in 59.94 seconds -- she spent most of that time 'talking' to me VERY LOUDLY! Today, she pulled 555 lb in 8 seconds! What a difference -- I almost got run over by her because she surprised me how quickly she pulled it! 
Today, Slinky got her second leg (needs one more pull tomorrow and she'll have her title as well!). She actually ended up pulling 1035 lb -- she needed 530 to qualify. Yuko needed to pull 1035 lb to get 5 points, but once again, she decided to give everyone a long song and dance about WP -- although it would have been nice if she'd pull, she is SOOOOO funny when she does this. She sits down and just 'talks' likes she having a full out conversation! The WP people down here have been FANTASTIC to both Tori and myself -- they have been SOOOOOOO helpful and have really been taking care of us! So much more relaxing. (BTW -- they both placed again in their weight class -- Yuko 3rd and Slinky 4th!) Those Catahoulas are doing us proud!

Here's a couple of Ranger and Rose who also decided to give WP a try (just practise runs).
After the show today, we went to a wonderful little restaurant (lucky for us -- right beside OUR motel!) and had a great dinner. Jan, Angie and Amanda (another Amanda) were also there to join in the fun! We had a wonderful time!
Just a note -- we had a great day yesterday as well -- the UKC show was fun and then we all went back to Tori's and the kids got their first try at baying (have to post later). They had a blast! Then Tori cooked us a wonderful homecooked meal -- if she keeps cooking like that, we'll need to buy new clothes to go home in! We're definitely having a great time!
BTW -- Laila -- you need to hurry and get down here -- Carlye is feeling off balance -- there are only 3 of us picking on her -- we need you to make it an even four!
