I currently live about 25-30 miles from the Wayne County Fairgrounds, so I have an idea of what's in the area.
There is a Motel 6 and a Knights Inn in Richmond that are really easy to get to.
There are two pet supply stores, one of which sells puppies so I don't shop there (Jack's Aquarium and Pets). There is a Tractor Supply as well.
There is a Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Meijer.
There is the Model T museum.
There is a really cool candle outlet store right next to the Model T museum.
There are parks in Richmond to take walks--Hayes Arboretum and The Rose Garden (Richmond is FAMOUS for roses).
There is a cineplex.
25-30 miles south is Whitewater Memorial State Park and Brookville Reservoir.
There is a Tim Hortons.
There is an Army Surplus store and a cool used book store.
Being so close to Dayton gives you some stuff to see as it's home to a LOT of cool military stuff--including the Air Force History Museum and Wright Brothers historic sites.
About an hour and a half is Cincinnati. Miami University (Oxford, OH) is less than 45 minutes.
There is a Tom Raper RV site in Richmond, for those who might like to travel with their car, but camp onsite with an RV.
If anyone needs information on the area and what there is to do or see, let me know and I will do recon for you.
