Why do you have two dominant males loose together? Your trainer is probably right, they will not co exist. I have some of these also, but do not have any problem. I don't let them out at the same time. One is in the crate while the other is out. Rotate them. The submissive one can stay out. If you don't you may have to put the dog down, or report a dog bite whem one of you humans ends up at the emergency room and someone else will put them down for you.
As for getting bitten in a fight. NEVER BREAK UP A FIGHT WITHOUT PROPER EQUIPMENT. Stop. Go get a leash. Do not yell at them. Just walk away. Wait until you have a clear shot at getting the leash on quickly. just let them fight until then. Better they bite each other than you. I take it neither one will submit, or have you never let it go that far?
