HMMMMM, starting that youngster out with aspirations to sleep on the bed already.
Right now that would be an awfully high jump up by himself, so I guess he won't get there unless invited.

My two think that our bed is THEIRS!

Of course, how could you not want that precious little bundle to be comfortable.
Puppies sleep a lot and what better place than where you can also lay down and snuggle.
