Solid black Catahoulas

Hi everyone!

We just adopted a Catahoula mix puppy from the SPCA. He's solid black with white toes and a bit on the chest. I was just wondering (we used to show dogs) if the solid coloured dogs are ever shown, and if so, how do they do?

I understand that solid black puppies are the least desired and often culled. Which is too bad, because our new puppy is very cute.
