I thought CLA hit a home run with their report. I wasn't aware of the struggles and the hardships they have endured. It's amazing that these problems have existed for so long with nothing done to ease the burden that these people bear. I'm surprised the suicide rate in south western CT hasn't sky rocketed over the last decade. It's a damn shame, a damn shame.....What a joke. The CLA's report was laughable at best. Unfortunately it's authors have pull in their little political arena. So, what do we do about it? It don't think we can vicitmize ourselves as and CLA and all of it's constituants have. We are above that. Lets face it, Joe Yedowitz and that Callahan guy are a couple of wooden crosses away from getting a religious holiday named after them.....Martyrs. Martyrs garner sympathy. Their sympathizers garner votes. We've been told that this is a delicate situation. Or is it. I don't know much about cliquey political scenes, but it seems to me that we just ought to go to war with these people and stand up for our rights. Maybe that's the wrong approach. I don't know. This is a pathetic situation though. I'm sure of that.
