I like pointing out & giving publicity to anything of interest that is Chicago media-related, regardless of who authors it. Robert Feder & Lewis Lazare worked together for a great many years. Now that Lewis is doing media reporting too, they both are covering the same beat, but I don't think there is any kind of "war" between them. Their styles are extremely different. If any of the local media reporters/commentators (which also includes Phil Rosenthal, Michael Miner, Ted Cox, Ed Sherman, Carla Jepsen, Karl Klockers and others) has anything of interest to report that hasn't already been covered elsewhere, then it is worth mentioning on here and shining a spotlight on it.
Lewis Lazare has made his fare share of mis-steps in the year he has been covering media, but he still turns out some interesting information from time to time. He also seems to cover local TV ratings more & better than anybody else. His name will be continuing to pop up here from time to time, as will Rob Feder's and the other names I mentioned.
