The 02 people said the travel concentrator might make too much noise in a classroom envionment, its in a hotel so the room hopefully is nice and big so I can sit away from people too. So I will be ordering the big tanks and put it on pulse sometime and then on continuous and it should do it. It is 12 hrs. she said, but on pulse, not continuous for the big one. I dont know who your oxygen supplier is but I'm sure they all work the same. when i have anywhere to go I figure on how much I need and call lincare and they take it from there.
when i get to my destination my oxygen is there waiting along wit a carrier that takes 2 e tanks. you just pull it along . I use a walker to carry mine in.

I know what you mean, I too worry about cathing the flue or whatever they may be coughing. choose a seat at the back wear a face mask sit near a door, anything to make you feel better :O

68.239.25.242I am also on o2 24/7 at 5 ltrs. -4 when sitting. I was away at a wedding this friday and sat. and I went threw 18 tanks in 2 days. had a concentrator for the hotel and brought a couple extra from home. .I to am alone , but its the way it is.

when i go to bed i'm on a little over 4 with my concentrator. when im up and moving around its on 5. same with my tanks 4 sitting 5 moving. altho i must say when i wake up at night my oxygen cannula is usually on my forhead lol.

98.248.53.53Nancy, have you ever tried the soft hose cannula's? YOu do have to pay for them yourself but they are very flexible and comfortable and it might stop the falling off. I know many of us use them. To me they are worth the money.

68.239.33.14carol I am chris and pauls favorite customer lol. yes i have been using sof hose for about 6 years. heard about it here in the site. only problem i have is i love the tubing as it doesnt pull on the cannula but when i step on it my little dog goes spastic. makes that noise. lol so i use lincare green tubing with sof- hose cannulas.

I take a big e tank and when I am sitting calmly I turn it down to 2 then back to 3 when walking.
I can easliy do a 12 hour day with breaks for walking, stretching, restroom,meals and sometimes just closing my eyes for fifteen minutes.

97.97.28.89An E tank lasts you 12 hrs. on 2, that would be great. When I go out and use my M6 tank, a small one, on pulse it only lasts me 2 3/4 hrs. on pulse. 75.223.98.64I don't think an E tank will last 12 hours on 2lpm unless it's pulse. When I have to use my E tank instead of the concentrator at night, it usually lasts about 10 hours on a setting of 1 lpm continuous. - Re: Big time advice needed!!!!!!!!!

98.140.246.15Carol, That 2 day class sounds like a great idea. I agree with MaryEllen. Check with your o2 provider for some ideas and request accommodations where you are taking the class. I don't think anyone would be offended if you needed to use an electrical outlet. I have had to do that when I have taken my scooter places.
Sounds like you will have a good experience. Do let us know how things go.

97.115.94.195Hi Carol: Why don't you contact your provider and see what suggestions they might have to help you in this situation. I would also contact the folks responsible for the workshop and let them know of my disability and need for accomodations. I would hope that a solution can be arrived at fairly simply.
