Connie, did you have an HMO (Medicare advantage plan or a supplement) I am guessing Medicare advantage. If you take another Medicare Advantage program the deductible will be different depending on the plan. Some plans have a deductible for Emergency room and hospital as well as a per day for hospital. There is a lot of checking out to do. Supplements are easier to check out as Plan F in one place is usually the same as Plan F in another. They can have more benefits but they have a minimum that Medicare has standardized. Many of the hospitals have people that work with people in finding the best plan for them.
