I am sorry to hear this. A tumor that size can possibly shut down the circulation to the lungs to the heart. I had a friend who had a tumor that size and she had chemo which did a cure and she was feeling better and went back for a PET scan and she had tiny malignancies throughout her body and she lasted only a couple of weeks. Eight months from discovery and chemo until she died at age forty.
They want to see what type cancer cell it is because some are indeed inoperable.
