I was on advair for over 5 years and my dr. changed me to symbecort. took about 1 month to really find that it was better. reason for the change was muscle spasms from advair. I was not expecting a change in meds. I went on it for 1 week and called the dr. and wanted to be put back on advair. he did put me back /500 mg's only in the morning. that didnt work well so went back on symbecort and all is good now. for me the change was unexpected and had nothing to do with the way advair worked.
