My pulmologist told me that I am not a candidate for LVRS. He made that clear to us when I asked him about it in August. This is based on CT scan and extensive pulmonary function testing.
I have a lot of appointments to schedule and a lot to consider. I do want a better quality of life. We have three adorable granddaughters that I can hardly be around due to colds/viruses. I am so limited in my activities and feel my 79 year old mother can do more than I can. I must make dinner early in the day as I am just too exhausted to do it around 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. We had to get Merry Maids in to do the heavy cleaning twice a month as I am unable to be around the cleaners, dust and I just don't have the stamina. The mind is willing but the body is not able. I hate to complain, but I get so frustrated. I need to be helped when I go shopping as I also have back problems (surgery with instrumentation). I guess I just want my independence and my life back.
Thanks so much for the Second Wind Site. I will let you know how things are going.
Linda
