In the last issue of COPD Digest on page 20 and 21 there is a Pro/Con article on medications like Advair that contained Corticosteroids. Two entirely different opinions although I must say the Con Dr gave a stronger opinion.
I finally got off daily predisone several months ago after a 6 month taper. Then that darn Doc upped my advair fom 50/250 and 50/500. I was not pleased with this and we will talk about it next month. I tried just using it once a day and notice no difference. Believe Corticosteroids are part of the gold standard for COPD treatment. As far as I know I have zero asthma and a Fev1% in the mid teens.
