The study was funded by BI, the pharmaceutical mnaufacturers of Spiriva--surprise!
They don't tlak about the possible cardiac risks of this medication, that has shown up in other studies.
When I attended the conference where their data was presented, it did NOT show an improvement in longevity or FEV1 due to Spiriva, which was what I believe the study was set out to show.
