Joe, if your supplier is really going to do this switch on you, you'll be fine with the two portable tanks but ask if you'll also be able to get 4 to 6 E tanks for emergencies.
I don't know what flow O2 you're on, but the H tank IS a big one and the E tanks, as you know, are a lot more adaptable. I have 3 in the trunk in the truck and one bungied into the back seat of the truck. When we went to Larry's, I was able to use one E tank each night at the motel...at 1 lpm.
