I think they are getting sensitivity of pulse dose mixed up with liter flow. The Inogen is approved for nightime(for certain liter flow) because it is extremely sensitive and can pick up shallow breathing which we do at night. That does not mean it will give you the same liter flow as you get with continuous. If I am wrong on that someone please tell me but I think we are talking apples and oranges here when they talk about sensitivity. A nice walk with an oximeter will tell the story but i would sure make sure it is long enough. Inogen still recommends that an overnight oximetry be done to make sure the Inogen is OK for the patient to use at night. I think you idea is a great one if they will go for it.
