The problem with the soft hose is that it does kink and if someone stands on it or a pet (large pet) lies on it, your air will be cut off. With the tubing the supplier gives you, that won't happen. And, if you use 2 25' tubing connected with a swivel plus have a swivel between your tubing and your cannula hose, you'll find very little twisting. It's also a tougher hose and will put up with a lot more abuse than the softhose.
