The Docs office is about the most dangerous place I visit and I've said that to staff any time I've visited. They have now all been washing hands when they enter the room.
If one simply explains that you are fearful of picking up any infections, they can hardly take offense.
Nebulisers used for 3 days? Good grief...and if you have an infection or even normal bacteria they are incubating in that bag...warm, moist environment. Is that a saving money gimmick?- I'd bring my own clean ones. I'd say that facility has no clue on how to prevent infections or reinfections.
Fearing to insult a medical person with expressing reasonable fears about infections in a facility is why we have so many hospital and clinic passed infections and often highly resistant ones too.
Imagine where the persons hands were just before greeting you- Are you sure you want to shake that hand, or have them touch you?
Being intimidated by supposedly knowledged folks is why colds are still common and infections spread like wildfire unstopped by even soap and water basic cleanliness.
